Birmingham

Campground

Birmingham South RV Park

This was a nicely maintained park along highway 65 south of Birmingham.  We were here during Halloween and they did have an organized Trick-or-Treat activity for the kids.

Things to see

Lee Springs Park

This was a great park with 5+ miles of paved trails.  We got all our runs in!  Dogs allowed.

Walking Tour

We used the VoiceMap app for the "Birmingham Walking Tour: How the Magic City Became a Commercial Juggernaut".  It was very informational and helped us see the city quickly and know which places to come back and explore.

Hiking

Oak Mountain State Park

Great state park that was very close to the campground.  They had lots of hiking and biking trails.  Dogs allowed.  We hiked the King's Chair Overlook via White and Blue Trail Loop.

Cajun Boys & Our Poboys

The owner was so nice, and the food was so good, that we went twice.  Their muffalettas were the size of my hand!
