Provo
Campground
Provo River Resort
Barb and I had already made these reservations long ago because I had planned to fly out of Salt Lake City to visit Breanna, Kyle, and Harrison (see story below). I am SO glad Barb didn't have to experience this campground (she headed back to MN to help with family health issues). They are just coming out of winter so the water was not turned on, even though they said it would be. The sewer connection was also not available, even though they said it would be. I could see how this would be a beautiful place to be in warm months, with the river right here, but definitely not now.
Things to see
Bridal Veil Falls
A beautiful falls just down the road from the resort. There is a running/biking/walking trail going for miles.
Food and Drink
Dona Mary
While in town to fill my propane tanks at a local Ace Hardware, decided to drop into this little shop. It was just okay.
Milagro's
This was a wonderful restaurant. I sure wish Barb had been here to enjoy this with me!
To make a long story short ...
A quick trip to Baltimore for Breanna's birthday
This trip had been planned and purchased many months ago, so when Barb drove to MN a few weeks ago to help Dean get through radiation treatment, we decided that I would continue with this portion of our plans. We had canceled all our other reservations after this stop in Provo and I will be leaving here and heading to MN as soon as I'm back from Baltimore.
Breanna's birthday is early April and it was a great time to see her and Kyle, celebrate her birthday and, of course, to see Harrison! He is currently my one and only grandchild. Harrison is a very happy fun little boy.
We had a fun time going to a Orioles' game at the famed Camden Yards. A classic baseball stadium. Harrison is such a trooper, going to these games with this little headphone ear protection on. Everyone around us always interacts with him because he's always smiling.
